In search of the perfect pint: does
Guinness travel well?
Analysis: When it comes a pint of
plain, two questions dominate debate:
what makes a perfect pint and does
Guinness taste best in Ireland?
On a recent architectural walking tour
of Dublin pubs with historian Donal
Fallon, he pointed out that both The
Flowing Tide and The Confession Box
pubs on Marlborough Street do a really
good pint. A Canadian visitor on the
tour turned to me and asked 'do all
